About the host
Gordon Dallas began his career in 1990s British comedy as half of the double act Dallas and Packer. Their Edinburgh Fringe success led to writing work for BBC Radio and TV, creating material for Graham Norton, Ainsley Harriott, Vernon Kay, S Club 7, Matthew Kelly and even Keith Duffy—who still wouldn’t let him join Boyzone.
Gordon later became a radio phone-in host for TalkSport’s Talk107, interviewing major Scottish footballers as well as Rod Stewart, Irvine Welsh and The Proclaimers (who also declined to let him join the band). From 2009 he appeared widely across BBC radio.
He joined Glengoyne as a Tour Guide in 2015 and wrote a one-man whisky history show, performing an excerpt at the 2018 Spirit of Speyside Festival, and later Unhurried at the Edinburgh Festival. In 2019 he became IMD’s Experiential Ambassador and created The Glengoyne Story, the brand’s first new experience in years.
He loves sherry-cask-matured single malt, good food and great company.
